PUTRAJAYA: Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa (pix) said he has yet to receive details pertaining to the transfer process of immigration officers and personnel on duty following reports of the Malaysian Immigration System (myIMMS) being sabotaged.
"So far, (we) have not received requests on the matter. It has not reached my level.
"The power (to transfer officers) is within the Immigration department and Home Ministry's purview," he told reporters after launching a health forum titled 'Love Your Kidneys' here.
However, he noted some of the transferred officers was not confined to the myIMMS' case alone.
"There are some D17 (low ranked officers) and those being absent from their jobs," he said.
He was responding to a press inquiry on the progress made on the transfer of immigration officials at the nation's key entry points that is being carried out in stages, especially at the KL International Airport (KLIA).
On May 31, Immigration director-general Datuk Seri Sakib Kusmi was quoted as saying that 37 immigration officers have been subjected to disciplinary action since February over their role in the sabotage.
