IPOH: There were some tense moments outside the Buntong police station here last night when two groups gathered to vent their frustrations following a fatal road accident.
However, no untoward incident was reported.
Deputy state police chief Datuk A. Paramasivam said the incident happened following an accident between two motorcyclists in nearby Kampung Baru here, which left one of them dead.
He said families and friends of both sides were unhappy over what happened and had gone to the police station to seek answers.
"Tempers flared because both sides claimed they were in the right.
"The officer-in-charge gave his assurance that police will investigate the case thoroughly and take the appropriate actions," he said when contacted.
Paramasivam said the two groups then left the police station without any untoward incident.
