PUTRAJAYA : The Home Ministry has transferred seven of its "problematic" personnel found to have committed various offences including for disciplinary and abuse of power.
Action against them, who held positions from Grade 54 and below were made from the time Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic) became Home Minister in 2013.
"There is zero tolerance against those who have no discipline and staff who use their position irresponsibly.
"We acted fast against them to safeguard the good name of the organisation," he said on Thursday.
Dr Ahmad Zahid however did not elaborate the kind of disciplinary or abuse of power committed by the ministry staff.
‎The Government has identified 50 officers holding "sensitive posts" for more than five years, who will be given new positions within the civil service.
Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa said government officers in charge of finance, procurement and awarding of contracts could not be in their positions for more than five years.
